About Us

Our Shows

Giraffe Events is the owner and producer of the New England Made Giftware & Specialty Food Shows (NEM).  The Spring show was formerly known as the New England Products Trade Show, or NEPTS.

Both shows are juried, wholesale buyer shows that feature exclusively New England-made products including home décor, pottery, apparel, accessories, jewelry, toys & games, candles, books, cards & prints, glassware, bath & body products, furniture, spices, candy, sauces and other specialty food items.

Our Vision

Giraffe Events seeks to create the strongest regional giftware shows in the nation — juried shows that presents the finest New England-made products possible.

To that end, we seek to:

  • Provide a primary showcase for New England-made businesses
  • Stay true to the roots of economic development for emerging businesses
  • Provide an opportunity for a significant source of revenue and networking for participants

Giraffe Events has produced the Spring show for the past 17 years. NEM originated as the Maine Products Trade Show conceived and launched by the Maine Small Business Development Centers (SBDC) in 1985. In later years, manufacturers from New Hampshire and Vermont joined the show.

In 2000, the show transitioned to a new phase of growth with the Maine Products Marketing Program (of the Department of Economic and Community Development) in collaboration with Giraffe Events.

In 2002, Giraffe Events assumed ownership of the event, going forward with the full endorsement of the Maine Products Marketing Program (of the Department of Economic and Community Development) and in association with the Maine SBDC.

Giraffe Events is proud to continue this fine tradition and in that vein, has created a second show with the same goals and standards – the New England Made Giftware & Specialty Food Show Autumn, currently taking place in Sturbridge, Mass.

The Autumn show is also a wholesale only, juried show featuring exclusively New England made giftware & specialty food but takes place in Sturbridge, Massachussetts. Contact us for more information.
