New England Made
Show Overview
There is no other show quite like it in the nation. The long standing Spring show held in March of each year in
Portland, Maine, features more than 300 exhibiting companies and over 1,500 buyers from around the country
attend. Show sales reach more than three million. The Autumn show held in September in Boxborough, Massachusetts features 100 exhibitors and 500 buyers attend.
These business-to-business wholesale tradeshows feature a juried selection of giftware, home furnishings, and specialty food. All exhibitors are juried in workmanship, design and production capabilities and all products must be manufactured in New England.
These are the only juried shows in the nation which present a showcase of quality New England made products.
Show History
The New England Made Giftware & Specialty Food Shows originated as the Maine Products Trade Show
conceived and launched by the Maine Small Business Development Centers (SBDC) in 1984. In 1999, the
Maine Products Marketing Program (of the Department of Economic and Community Development)
assumed leadership of the event contracting services through a local company, Giraffe Events, to continue
to develop a showcase event with economic benefits for small businesses.
In 2002, with funding shortfall, the event was transitioned to the producers, Giraffe Events, in the hope that they could continue the mission. They continued that mission and over the years grew a strong, successful show with a reputation for showcasing quality, New England companies and their products. In 2012, New England Made expanded its offerings into the Boston market with New England Made Giftware & Specialty Food Show Autumn in Sturbridge, Massachusetts and in 2019 the autumn show was moved to the Boxboro Regency Hotel in Boxboro, Massachusetts.
